Deontics providing diabetes treatment CDS at London Medical
Deontics (www.deontics.com) is pleased to announce it has licenced its clinical decision support (CDS) and clinical pathway software to London Medical, a London based private provider of clinical ambulatory care services including endocrinology, cardiovascular, and ophthalmology amongst others.
In the first instance, Deontics will apply its world-leading CDS technology to support and standardise clinical decisions in the treatment of Type I and Type II diabetes, with a view to roll-out in other fields in the future.
Deontics CDS is expected to deliver benefits in streamlining care, automating clinical audit, and patient safety.
Dr. Guy Wood-Gush, CEO Deontics, commented: “We are very pleased to be working with London Medical in the management of their large diabetes practice, and look forward to helping build on their exceptional standards in diabetes and other indications”.
Deontics is a UK based HealthTech spin out from the University of Oxford, Cancer Research UK and University College London. Deontics has a world-leading, CE marked CDS software platform capable of integrating individual patient data with encoded clinical guidelines to dynamically deliver personalised, evidence-based treatment recommendations at the point of care (the “Clinical GPS”). As well as providing CDS, Deontics provides automated clinical audit records and has been shown in published studies to increase compliance with clinical guidelines, reducing unwarranted variation in clinical practice.
