Our AI clinical decision support (CDS) engine powers the end-to-end life-cycle of personalised healthcare and precision medicine.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a front end developer/engineer to join our technical team. This is an exciting time as we look to grow the team to help deliver our product roadmap which includes developing novel green field solutions that will transform Lipid Management and MDT delivery.

You will join a fast paced agile team and will be responsible for developing and maintaining the user-facing solutions that are powered by our DEON CDS engine.

The role requires a creative and motivated individual who is able to work with a wide range of stakeholders and technologies to produce the best possible outcomes.

As this is a small and agile team, you will be expected to take ownership of the user interface and be able to deliver usable, modern and high quality web applications. You will be responsible for analysing, discussing and implementing high level, goal based specs. You will also be working closely with the product leaders, the team that builds the backend and other front end developers. You will often be expected to provide your expert opinion about the front end technologies and front end issues.

.Your responsibilities will include.

• Designing and developing web based user-facing solutions using javascript and REACT.js. At the same time keeping up to date with current web technologies and being able to evaluate and suggest the best tool/technology for the job.

• Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Working with the wider technical team and other stakeholders to to create frictionless digital journeys

• Reviewing and improving the usability, accessibility and aesthetics of our front end solutions

• Troubleshooting and resolving application issues

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation

• Writing clean, test-driven code that adheres to standards, practices, and conventions.

• Ensuring that developed solutions are optimised for performance and speed.

• Participating in agile development processes, including planning, estimation, and daily stand-ups

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes and best practices

• Being a team player who loves learning and passing on newly acquired skills to the rest of the team.

Essential technical skills/experience:

• Excellent javascript knowledge

• Excellent REACT.js knowledge and general modern frameworks (webpack, node)

• Excellent HTML/CSS knowledge

• Proficient with RESTful API concepts and working knowledge of consuming third-party APIs

• Good design and usability skills

• Fluent with standard development tools, such as git

• Understanding of accessibility principles

• Attention to detail and an eye for design

• Capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of TDD and related test frameworks

• Using Version Control Software, such as Git, and similar products.

• Comfortable in a dynamic agile environment with ability to adapt to various technologies and situations

Desirable (nice to have) experience:

The following will be valuable but are not essential:

• Understanding of user-research and user-centred design

• Appreciation of security and privacy considerations e.g. GDPR
